Notes
Prior to starting the workout, set up the workout area as shown in the floor plan.
This workout begins with the athletes and dumbbells behind the first 5-foot work zone. At “3, 2, 1 … go,” the men will move their dumbbells into the first work zone and complete 35 synchro dumbbell shoulder-to-overheads. Then they will advance the dumbbells to the next work zone for 35 synchro dumbbell deadlifts. After completing the deadlifts, they will each move a single dumbbell to the final work zone beyond the GHDs, then return to the GHD for 35 synchro GHD sit-ups. After the GHD sit-ups, they will move to the final work zone and accumulate 75 synchro single-arm dumbbell overhead squats, switching arms as needed. After the overhead squats, they will move the dumbbells back to the deadlift work zone and once again cycle through each movement in the same fashion.
Once the final shoulder-to-overhead is complete, the men will move their dumbbells back over the starting line, at which point the women may begin their portion of the event. The women will work through the event in the same fashion as the men. Time stops after the women complete their final dumbbell shoulder-to-overhead.
The team’s score will be the total time taken to complete the event or the total number of repetitions completed at the time cap. There is no tiebreak for this event.
After the workout is complete, the team must walk to the camera and state the password BEFORE moving or turning off the camera.

1 of 11Athletes and dumbbells must remain in the designated work zone. If the feet touch or cross the line at any time, the rep will not count. The dumbbells must be at the shoulders to begin the shoulder-to-overhead. A press, push press, push jerk, or split jerk are all permitted as long as the finish position is achieved.2 of 11The rep is credited when both athletes have the dumbbells locked out overhead. The arms, hips, and legs must be fully extended before the dumbbells are lowered. The center of both dumbbells must be over or slightly behind the center of the athlete’s body, with the athlete’s feet in line. Both athletes must reach the lockout position together. If one athlete reaches lockout ahead of the other, they may hold the dumbbells overhead and wait for their partner. Athletes may NOT have assistance resetting or moving their equipment during the workout.3 of 11Athletes and dumbbells must remain in the designated work zone. If the feet touch or cross the line at any time, the rep will not count. Athletes must hold the dumbbells by the handles, outside the legs. Sumo deadlifts are not allowed. Each rep begins with at least the front head of both dumbbells touching the ground at the same time.4 of 11The rep is credited when both athletes’ hips and knees are at full extension with head and shoulders in line vertically over the hips. Both athletes must reach the lockout position together. If one athlete reaches lockout ahead of the other, they may hold the dumbbells at extension and wait for their partner. Deliberate bouncing is not allowed.5 of 11Each rep begins and ends with the athlete seated at the top of the GHD with their hands touching the foot pads.6 of 11The athlete must touch the ground or designated riser with both hands before returning to the seated position. The touch on the ground or riser must be overhead, not to the side of the body. The fingers must be at least in line with the top of the head when viewed from profile. Both athletes must touch the ground/riser together. Both athletes must touch the foot pads together. If one athlete arrives at either position ahead of the other, they may hold that position and wait for the other athlete. The rep is credited when both hands touch the foot pads. After the men finish their sit-ups, the GHDs can be adjusted for the women.7 of 11Equipment note: The distance from the top of the seat pad to the floor may be no fewer than 40 inches for men and 37 inches for women. If the athlete is using a GHD that EXCEEDS the 40/37-inch requirement, they may touch an elevated target that creates the 40/37-inch distance (i.e., they may use a 6-inch riser on a 43-inch GHD to create a net height of 37 inches).8 of 11If the athlete is using a GHD that is BELOW the 40/37-inch requirement, they may elevate the GHD to create the 40/37-inch distance.9 of 11Athletes and dumbbells must remain in the designated work zone. If the feet touch or cross the lines at any time, the rep will not count. Athletes must hold the handle of the dumbbell and the dumbbell must remain horizontal. The athletes will begin and end each rep with the dumbbell overhead, hips and knees fully extended, and head and shoulders in line vertically over the hips. A full snatch may be used for any rep that begins with the dumbbell on the floor.10 of 11At the bottom, hip creases must pass below the top of the knees. The non-lifting hand and arm may not be in contact with the body during the repetition. Pushing off the hips or legs, or stabilizing the dumbbell with the free hand, is a no rep.11 of 11Credit is given when both athletes return to the lockout position with the dumbbell overhead, hips and knees fully extended, and head and shoulders in line vertically over the hips. If one athlete reaches lockout ahead of the other, they may wait for their partner. Athletes may switch hands as desired. There is no minimum or maximum on each arm. If the dumbbell makes contact with any part of the athlete’s body (i.e., the head or shoulder) during the squat, the rep will not count.
