10 Worm clean and push presses (team)

This event begins with the athletes on the starting mat. At the sound of the beep, the four athletes will split into pairs, with one pair beginning on the run and the other pair beginning on the synchro pull-ups. When both athletes in the running pair have completed the 200 meters and the athletes in the other pair have completed the 25 pull-ups, the pairs will switch and complete the opposite portion. Once complete, all four athletes will move to the Worm and complete 10 clean and jerks, advancing every 5 reps with the Worm on their shoulders.
The team will then move back to the runners and pull-up bars and begin the next round. The pairs do not need to stay the same from round to round. Rounds 2, 3 and 4 will be completed in the same fashion as the first. After the last Worm clean and jerk is complete, the team will move to the finish mat.
The team’s score is the total time it takes to complete the event.
Minimum Work Requirement
1 of 6The runs will take place on an Assault AirRunner. The treadmill display will count up from 0, and the athletes must remain on the machines until the displays read 200 meters. Athletes may not run with their hands on the rails.2 of 6At the bottom of the pull-up, both athletes’ arms must be fully extended.Dead hang, kipping or butterfly pull-ups are allowed, as long as all the requirements are met.3 of 6At the top, both athletes’ chests must clearly come into contact with the bar at the same time. If one athlete does not touch the chest to the bar, or if the athletes’ chests don’t touch at the same time, that is a no rep.4 of 6The Worm clean and push press starts with the Worm on the ground and all four athletes standing on the same side. The Worm is then lifted to the athletes’ shoulders.5 of 6At the top, each athlete’s hips and knees must remain fully extended as the Worm is lifted over the athletes’ heads and moved to their opposite shoulders. The arms do not need to reach full extension as the Worm is moved overhead.6 of 6The rep is complete when the Worm reaches the athletes’ opposite shoulders. The Worm must then be lowered back to the ground before the athletes begin the next rep. When advancing, all athletes must be on the same side of the Worm. Athletes may be in any order, but each section of the Worm does not weigh the same. From front to back, the sections weigh 100-70-100-70 lb., with 6-lb. filler bags between each section, for a total Worm weight of 358 lb.
