WORKOUT DETAILS
QUICK START
- Determine the athlete order and the first athlete to lift.
- Load the bar to one of the predetermined weights from the table on the scorecard page.
- Start standing outside of the rack. At “go,” unrack the bar and begin the first attempt.
- If the rep is successful, it will count toward the team’s total.
- Choosing from the list of predetermined weights, the athlete may only:
- Remain at the same load, or
- Increase the load.
- Resting as needed, the athlete will then complete their second and third attempts.
- Each successful lift will count toward the team’s total.
- After the first lifter has completed their three attempts, the next lifter will begin their three attempts.
- The team may lift in any order.
- Each lifter must complete their three attempts before the working athlete changes.
- Each successful lift from each member of the team will count toward the team’s total.
- The team’s score will be the total of each team member’s successful attempts (12 possible successful lifts).
NOTES
- The team must use a single rack for all attempts.
- The team may use a single barbell (one 45-lb barbell for all lifters) or 2 barbells (one 35-lb barbell for female lifters and one 45-lb barbell for male lifters).
- Athletes may start at any weight from the table on the scorecard page. Once they have made their first attempt, weight can either stay the same or go up.
- Athletes CANNOT go down in weight once they have made their first attempt.
- The team’s score MUST be submitted in pounds.
- Unused plates MUST be placed at least 5 feet (1.5 meters) away from the lifting area for safety.
TIEBREAK
- Record the time when the final athlete completes their third attempt (time at lockout OR when the bar reaches the ground in the event of a failed lift).
- If teams tie on total weight, the team that finished their attempts fastest will win the tiebreak.

1 of 6The Front Squat: Each attempt begins on the athlete’s shoulders in the front-rack position. Any grip is permitted. The athlete’s hip crease must clearly pass below the top of the knees in the bottom position.2 of 6The rep is credited when: The athlete’s hips and knees are fully extended. The bar is resting on the athlete’s shoulders with the bar in the front-rack position. The athlete’s feet are in line with one another when the athlete is viewed from profile. Once the rep is credited, athletes do NOT need to re-rack the bar.3 of 6The team may lift in any order. Non-working athletes may use a secondary rack to warm-up while waiting. Any warm-up lifts DO NOT COUNT toward the team’s total. All official attempts must be completed in the same rack. Once an athlete has started their first attempt, they must continue with their second and third attempts before the active lifter may change.4 of 6Athletes MAY have assistance changing loads between attempts. Athletes must place collars on the outside of the plates before beginning the lift. If an athlete chooses to remain at the same load, they may complete their attempts as consecutive reps (e.g., 3 reps at 185 lb., counting as all of the athlete’s attempts).5 of 6Common no-reps for the front squat include but are not limited to: Not reaching the bottom position with the hip crease below the knees. Re-racking or dropping the bar before reaching full hip and knee extension.6 of 6Notes: In the event of a failed lift, the team may help the working athlete return the bar to the rack. Any attempts completed after the 20-minute time cap will NOT count. A lift MUST be completed (locked out) before the 20-minute time cap to count toward the team’s total. Any attempt still in motion at the 20-minute time cap will NOT count.
