WORKOUT DETAILS
QUICK START
- Pairs start with their backs to the barbells.
- At “go,” the pair can turn around and begin their clean and jerks, with one male and one female working.
- Switching as needed, both pairs must complete 15 clean and jerks.
- Pairs do NOT need to be synchronized.
- For safety, if one pair finishes ahead of the other, they MUST remain behind their barbell until the second pair finishes.
- Once both pairs have completed 15 clean and jerks, the team will move to the line and complete 20 synchronized line-facing burpees.
- After completing the burpees, athletes return to their barbells for the second round of 15 clean and jerks.
- After both pairs have completed 15 clean and jerks, the team will complete 20 synchronized line-facing burpees.
- The team will continue this sequence until they have completed 5 rounds.
- Time stops when the team has completed their final line-facing burpee.
- The team’s score will be the total time taken to complete 5 rounds.
NOTES
- The clean and jerks are completed in MM/FF pairs, with one athlete from each pair working at a time.
- The barbells MUST be placed and remain at least 5 feet (1.5 meters) away from each other for safety.
- For safety, the non-working athlete must wait behind the working athlete. The working athlete may NOT drop the barbell behind them.
TIEBREAK

1 of 7The Clean and Jerk: Each rep starts with the bar on the ground. The bar must be lifted to the shoulders, then locked out overhead (no snatches). Any style of clean, except a hang clean, is permitted. Full extension of the hips and legs is NOT required after receiving the clean, before starting the overhead lift.2 of 7Any style of overhead lift is acceptable (press, push press, or jerk/split jerk). The rep is credited when: Hips, knees, and arms are extended, the feet are in line, and the bar is over or behind the middle of the body when viewed from the side.3 of 7Each pair works on their own to complete 15 reps. There is NO synchro requirement. Only one athlete can be working at a time on each barbell. Pairs can switch the working athlete at any time. There is no minimum rep requirement from any member of the team. The resting athlete must remain behind the bar. Athletes must remain behind their barbell until BOTH pairs have completed 15 clean and jerks.4 of 7Common no-reps for the clean and jerk include but are not limited to: Lowering the barbell before fully extending the hips, knees, or arms, lowering the barbell before the feet have returned in line, finishing with the bar in front of the body, and bouncing the barbell between consecutive repetitions. In the event of a no-rep for any reason at any time, the entire clean and jerk MUST be repeated. A missed overhead lift may NOT be reattempted from the front-rack position.5 of 7Synchro Line-Facing Burpee: Each rep starts with all four team members on one side of the line. All four athletes must be in the bottom position together (touching their chest and thighs to the ground) before returning to the jumping position. Athletes must be perpendicular to the line. The hands (including fingers) must be behind the line. The head may extend over the line. Athletes may wait at the bottom position for their teammates.6 of 7Then, teammates jump over the line. A two-foot take-off or landing is NOT required. Both feet MUST be in the air at the same time. The rep counts when all members of the team land on the opposite side of the line. Athletes may line up in any order.7 of 7No-reps for the synchro line-facing burpee include but are not limited to: Touching the line with the hands while on the ground, not having all four members on the ground at the same time, stepping over the line instead of jumping, and if the teammates are parallel to the line instead of perpendicular in the bottom position. If a no-rep is given for any reason to any member of the team, the entire team must complete another FULL REPETITION together. Teams may start this burpee from either side of the line.
