In The Hunt: Justin Medeiros' 2020 Games Story

CrossFit Games rookie Justin Medeiros secured third place overall in Stage 1 of the 2020 Games after an impressive performance in the online competition. Notable finishes for the 21-year-old athlete include third in 1RM Front Squat when he lifted 437 lb., besting four-time Games champion Mat Fraser in the event, and second in Nasty Nancy, in which he finished just 29 seconds slower than Fraser, who took first in the event. CrossFit named Medeiros Rookie of the Year at the close of Stage 1.

Now, Medeiros looks ahead to Aromas, California, for the finals in just 10 days, and is focusing on fine tuning his fitness before the in-person competition.

The 2020 CrossFit Games are underway, and the final five men and women have emerged from Stage 1 to battle for the title of Fittest on Earth.
