In a year like no other, catch up on an incredible start to the 2020 Reebok CrossFit Games in this recap presented by Pure Spectrum.
Join commentators Sean Woodland and Annie Sakamoto, along with reporter Nicole Brazier, for The Road to the Ranch Recap Show.
Stage 1 of the 2020 CrossFit Games is in the books, and now we look ahead to Aromas, California, where the top five men and women will battle it out at The Ranch, from Oct. 19-25, for the title Fittest on Earth.
The crew recaps the seven events that made up Stage 1 and the athletes who took the win in each one. They also discuss well-known names and favorites who were missing from the top of the leaderboard throughout the competition.
Notable moments of the two-day online competition include reigning Games champions Tia-Clair Toomey and Mat Fraser breaking records for most Games event wins: 15 and 19, respectively; Toomey making history (again) by winning the first three Games events; and the comeback heard round-the-world when Katrin Davidsdottir bounced back from three finishes outside the top 10 (her lowest being 27th in 1RM Front Squat) to earn a fourth, and two first-place finishes in the final two events, placing her fourth overall and securing her ticket to California.
The 2020 CrossFit Games are underway, and the final five men and women have emerged from Stage 1 to battle for the title of Fittest on Earth. The live and in-person competition will begin in Aromas, California, on Oct. 19. Stay tuned for details on how to watch all the events as they are streamed live online and on TV.
