Victor Castro Takes Control of His New Life

A motorcycle accident in 2012 left Victor Castro πŸ‡ͺπŸ‡¨ in a coma with three damaged cervical vertebrae and a ruptured brachial plexus.

When he woke up, Castro had lost motor function and sensation in his right arm.

After a battle with depression, Castro decided to take action and start living his life again. He found his way back to CrossFit even though his surgeon told him he needed to find a new sport. Castro began to relearn movements that were once familiar but now felt foreign, proving that he would not be a victim of his circumstance.

This year, Castro finished in third place in the Open in the Men’s Upper Extremity division, and for the first time, the Games athlete is competing on the main stage at the 2021 NOBULL CrossFit Games.
