Ten-time CrossFit Games athlete Kara Saunders announced on Instagram that she would “not be competing in the 2023 season,” and after taking time to process, she and her husband opened up about her announcement on YouTube.
“We’re having a baby.”
In a very candid and honest episode, Saunders details her experience with her second pregnancy, expressing her excitement and recognizing that it was “not a smooth ride” at the start.
In her video, Saunders describes complications and hurdles she and her husband faced at the beginning of her pregnancy, including learning she was at a high risk of miscarrying.
She shares how she coped with the news and how she’s grown from the experience.
“This baby, from Day 1, has been the pregnancy and the human to teach me patience,” Saunders says. “Everything has been a weight and learning how to manage being out of control.”
Saunders updates her fans on her latest progress, and shares her fitness and training plans while pregnant.
