Quick Start
- Start standing tall with your back to the barbell.
- At “Go,” complete 30 cleans.
- Then, move to the pull-up bar and complete 30 toes-to-bars.
- Move back to the barbell and complete 30 thrusters.
- Your score will be the total time taken to complete the event.
- In the event you reach the time cap, your score will be the total number of reps completed before the 10-minute cap.
Notes
- For safety, the barbell must be placed at least 5 feet away from the pull-up bar.
- There is no tiebreak for this event.
- Gymnastics grips may NOT be used during the cleans or thrusters.
- Score is due by Monday, May 13, 2024, at 5 p.m. PT.
Equipment- Barbell, plates, and collars
- Pull-up bar
- Tape, cones, or any other object MUST be used to indicate the barbell is placed 5 feet away from the pull-up bar.
- Video submissions: The distance must be clearly measured on camera.
Penalties
You will be penalized if:
- Your video submission does not clearly show all measurements and loading on camera.
- You set up the barbell less than 5 feet away from the pull-up bar.

1 of 16The clean: Start each rep with the bar on the ground.2 of 16The bar must be lifted to the shoulders. Any style of clean, except a hang clean, is permitted.3 of 16The rep is credited when the bar is on the shoulders and: Hips, knees, and arms are extended, feet are in line, and elbows are in front of the bar when viewed from profile.4 of 16No reps for the clean include but are not limited to: Lowering the barbell before fully extending the hips and knees.5 of 16Not bringing the elbows in front of the bar.6 of 16Bouncing the barbell between consecutive repetitions, stepping on or over the mark designating the 5-foot distance from the pull-up bar, and using gymnastics grips during the cleans.7 of 16The toes-to-bar: Begin by hanging from the pull-up bar with arms extended. The heels must be brought back behind the vertical plane of the bar. Overhand, underhand, or mixed grips are all permitted.8 of 16The rep is credited when both feet contact the bar between the hands at the same time. Any part of the feet may make contact with the bar.9 of 16No reps for the toes-to-bar include but are not limited to: Only one foot contacting the pull-up bar or both feet not contacting at the same time.10 of 16Not contacting the pull-up bar with the feet.11 of 16Heels remaining in front of the vertical plane of the pull-up bar at the start of the rep, and contacting the pull-up bar outside the hands.12 of 16The thruster: The crease of the hips must clearly pass below the top of the knees in the bottom position (below parallel). The bar must begin on the ground. A squat clean is allowed, but not required, to start a set.13 of 16The rep is credited when: Hips, knees, and arms are fully extended, and the bar is directly over, or behind, the middle of the body when viewed from the side.14 of 16No reps for the thruster include but are not limited to: Squatting to parallel or above parallel (the hip crease is at or above the knees).15 of 16Lowering the barbell before reaching full extension of the knees, hips, or arms.16 of 16Finishing with the barbell in front of the body, stepping on or over the mark designating the 5-foot distance from the pull-up bar, and using gymnastics grips during the thrusters. NOTE: Performing a front squat followed by any style of jerk (rebending the hips and/or legs) is NOT allowed.
