June 9-15, 2025
What is It?
The Community Cup is a fun, affiliate-based online competition to gauge where you sit against other athletes of similar abilities.
Who Can Compete?
Anyone who submits scores for all three CrossFit Open workouts is eligible for the Community Cup.
How It Works
1. Complete the Open and Receive Your Competition Level
If you completed all three workouts during the 2025 CrossFit Open, you will receive an official competition level. You will find this level in your competition dashboard. During the Community Cup, you will be grouped in tiers based on your level, allowing you to compete with other similarly skilled athletes, regardless of age or location.
Note: Age-group athletes will see two levels on their dashboard, one based on their placement in the individual division and one in their age group. You will be grouped in your Community Cup tier based on your individual level (not age-group level).

3. Compete
From June 9-15, compete in the Community Cup in your assigned tier based on your level from the Open. The competition will run similarly to the Open in that athletes will complete three workouts at an affiliate, submit scores online, and see their rankings on the leaderboard.
The Details
- There will be three workouts to complete over one week.
- All workouts will be released the week before the competition to allow affiliates to plan ahead.
- While scores are entered online, the Community Cup must be done in an affiliate.
- Workouts can be completed in any order with all scores due by Sunday, June 15.
- Each of the three workouts will be programmed with modifications to challenge each level appropriately.
Why Should I Participate in the Community Cup?
The Community Cup is your chance to take your CrossFit journey to the next level and experience the magic of competition tailored to your skill level. Unlike the Open, which lets you see how you measure up worldwide, the Community Cup creates an even playing field by grouping athletes into tiered competitions based on their Open performance.
Whether you’re a Pro-level competitor or just starting out, you’ll face others at your level, making every rep and lift meaningful and achievable.
But it’s not just about testing your fitness — it’s about celebrating progress, bonding with your affiliate community, and having fun while pushing your limits. Plus, it sets the stage for new goals to strive for next year. Think of it as the CrossFit Affiliate Games: a chance to challenge yourself, connect with others, and be part of something bigger.
Don’t miss this opportunity to grow, compete, and thrive with the CrossFit community!
Calling All Affiliate Owners: Program the Community Cup Workouts
The three Community Cup workouts will be programmed by affiliate owners from the CrossFit community! The contest has closed and winners will be released the week before competition starts in June.
The Adaptive Division Last-Chance Qualifier
The CrossFit Community Cup will serve as a Last-Chance Qualifier for the 2025 Adaptive CrossFit Games, filling the final spots in select divisions!
On June 9-15, 2025, WheelWOD athletes can compete in the Community Cup as their Last-Chance Qualifier or just for fun, even if they didn't compete in the Open. There will be Scaled and Rx’d versions of the workouts for athletes to choose from. Then, on July 14, the WheelWOD Community Cup leaderboard will be finalized, and final invites will be sent for the WheelWOD CrossFit Games. Athletes will have one week to accept invites and register for the Games.
