2025 Season Overview

INDIVIDUALS

  • The Open: Everyone starts in the Open.
  • Semifinals: The top 1% of individual athletes will advance to the second stage, with opportunities to compete at virtual in-affiliate Semifinals and/or in-person qualifying events. 
    • New in 2025: We’re recognizing multiple premier events around the world as official qualifiers — giving our athletes more places and more time to qualify! View a list of in-person qualifying events here. 
  • The Hustle Up Last-Chance Qualifier: Athletes who narrowly miss a spot at the 2025 CrossFit Games out of Semifinals will have one more chance to make it.
    The Hustle Up Last-Chance Qualifier will take place from June 13-16 and qualify one man and one woman to the CrossFit Games in Albany. More information will be available soon.
  • The Games: 30 men and 30 women will advance to the 2025 CrossFit Games from Aug. 1-3 in Albany, New York, where we’ll crown the Fittest on Earth.

TEAMS

  • The Open: Once again, everyone starts at the Open! Affiliates can have as many teams as they want to compete in the Open.   
  • In-Affiliate Semifinals (New in 2025): All team athletes from their respective affiliates are eligible to compete in the in-affiliate Semifinals 
  • The Games: The top 20 affiliates worldwide will move on to the 2025 CrossFit Games from Aug. 1-3 in Albany, New York. Note: an affiliate can only qualify one team per gym for the Games. 

AGE GROUPS

  • The Open: Everyone starts in the Open. 
  • In-Affiliate Semifinals: After the Open, the top 2% of Open finishers (or a minimum of 200 athletes) from each age-group division will be invited to compete in the in-affiliate Semifinals.
  • The Games: The top athletes will advance to the Masters CrossFit Games by Legends and the Teenage CrossFit Games by Pit Teen Throwdown.

      • 2025 Masters CrossFit Games by Legends: Aug. 21-24 | Columbus, Ohio
      • 2025 Teenage CrossFit Games by Pit Teen Throwdown: Aug. 21-24 | Columbus, Ohio
    • Qualifiers:
      • Masters:
        • Masters 35-39 division: The top 30 men and 30 women
        • Masters 40-44 division: The top 30 men and 30 women
        • Masters 45-49 division: The top 30 men and 30 women
        • Masters 50-54 division: The top 30 men and 30 women
        • Masters 55-59 division: The top 30 men and 30 women
        • Masters 60-64 division: The top 20 men and 20 women
        • Masters 65-69 division: The top 20 men and 20 women
        • Masters 70+ division (New!): The top 10 men and 10 women
      • Teenagers:
        • Teenagers 14-15 division: Top 30 boys and 30 girls
        • Teenagers 16-17 division: Top 30 boys and 30 girls

ADAPTIVE

  • The Open: Adaptive athletes in each division will compete at the Adaptive Open hosted by WheelWOD.

  • Semifinals: The top 20 adaptive athletes in each division will then compete at the Semifinals stage.  
  • The Games: The top 10 athletes from each division after the Semifinals will move on to the Adaptive CrossFit Games by WheelWOD.
