Burpee box jump-over
185 lb., 30 in.
Time cap: 7 min.
Submit score by 12 p.m. (noon) PT on Sunday, April 11.
Prior to starting, athletes must set up the competition area as shown in the floor plan (see scorecard).
This workout begins with the athlete across the line from the barbell. After the call of “3, 2, 1… go,” the athlete may move to the barbell to start their snatches. Snatches must be performed facing the box. After completing 9 snatches, the athlete will move to the box and complete 9 burpee box jump-overs. Then, the athlete will move back to the barbell. Continue in this manner for the round of 6 and 3 reps. Time stops when both feet land on the opposite side of the box after the final burpee box jump-over.
The athlete’s score will be the total time it takes to complete the workout or the total number of repetitions completed before the 7-minute time cap.
There is no tiebreak for this workout.

1 of 5The athlete and barbell must remain behind the line. If the athlete’s feet or the plates on the barbell touch or cross the line at any time, the rep will not count. The athlete must be facing the box. Each rep starts with the bar on the ground. Power, squat, and split snatches are permitted. Hang snatches are NOT permitted.2 of 5The rep is counted when the hips, knees, and arms are extended. The bar must be over the middle of the body, or slightly behind, when viewed from profile. If a split snatch is used, the feet must return in line with each other before the bar is lowered.3 of 5The burpee box jump-over starts with the athlete facing the box while touching their chest and thighs to the ground and finishes with the athlete jumping over the box. In the bottom position, the center of the athlete’s chest must be on the line, and the feet and hands must be straddling the line.4 of 5A two-foot takeoff is always required, and only the athlete’s feet may touch the box. After landing on the box, the athlete may jump or step off to the other side. Alternatively, the athlete may jump completely over the box. If jumping over the box, the feet must pass over the box, not around it, and the athlete must use a two-foot landing. There is no requirement to stand tall while on top of the box.5 of 5Each rep is counted when the athlete lands on the ground on the opposite side of the box. From there, they may begin their next rep.
