“This season was my “Why” for so long … and all is not lost. Even in the heartbreak and the pain, and just the disappointment of not having this season that I’ve worked so hard for … I see the opportunities even more. It’s a sacrifice (for) this season for a really bright future.” — Emma Cary,
Host Chase Ingraham, four-time Games athlete Adrian Conway, and seven-time Games athlete Margaux Alvarez report on all the action after two days of the Individual Quarterfinal.
Two-time Games athlete Emma Cary and head coach of Brute Strength Training Matt Torres join the podcast crew to discuss Cary’s decision to withdraw from the 2022 Games season due to a back injury. Torres, who coaches Cary, Dallin Pepper, Fee Saghafi, Phil Toon, and James Sprague, opens up about working with Games hopefuls and the future for each of his athletes.
Ingraham, Alvarez, and Conway also review each of the unofficial leaderboards, highlighting surprising performances from the competitors after the close of Day 2, and discuss the impact of score corrections and penalties on the athletes’ overall placements.
With one day left, the trio breaks down the final workout and talks best approach and strategy for finishing the competition strong.
