The Granite Games were created with the goal of celebrating the competitive spirit of athletes of all levels and forming a festival atmosphere that unites fitness enthusiasts from all genres of sports. The Granite Games consist of three stages of competition: the Granite Games Throwdowns, the Granite Games Open, and a three-day long competition known as the Granite Games Championship. This year, the Granite Games became a CrossFit-sanctioned competition, sending its fittest man, woman, and team to the 2019 Reebok CrossFit Games in Madison, Wisconsin.
