I have a 5 year old daughter who is always asking "Daddy, play with me"and after 30 seconds when I was gasping for air I knew I had to change something for my benefit and do everything in my ability to prolong my life to be there for her. Thats when I drove by Crossfit Koinonia in May of 2016. I had let myself get away working out and balloned to 260lbs. I googled their box and starting researching CrossFit. I signed up for a free trial, completed on-ramp within the 1st 2 weeks and hit the ground running. I am down over 25lbs and have that competitive nature back to me again. Most importantly I have the stamina and energy to keep up with my 5 year old. My dad has heart and diabetic issues, my brother is type 1 diabetic. I owed it to myself and my family to be the healthiest person I can be and in the end I think I will tell the story of how CrossFit changed my life.
