I’m a retired police officer who was approaching 50, overweight and enjoying the excesses of life too much. I figured I had to ‘get busy living or get busy dying’ as old Red says. So three years ago I joined Crossfit Leyland and I’ve never looked back. I’m getting so that I can perform a good few movements to RX standards and I’m as fit as I was at 35. I compete to measure my progress and because the atmosphere in our box during the Open is too awesome to describe.
