If you would have told me three years ago that I would be participating in the Crossfit Open as a level-one trainer, I would have called you crazy! I joined Crossfit at the age of 46 years old. At that time, I was out of shape, 30 pounds overweight, pre-diabetic, and had a blown out disc in my L4-5 lumbar region. Never in my wildest dreams could I have imagined I would be where I am today! My fellow instructors took me in, challenged me, adopted me into their "family" and encouraged me to succeed! They taught me proper form, discipline and pushed my limits and accepted no excuses! Three years later, I can say I am in the best shape of my life, no longer facing diabetes, a level-one trainer and excited to be part of our team! I workout with the best group of people there is. My competing in the Open is proof that ANYONE can do it and succeed!
