Shawn “The Ram” Ramirez is a three-time champion of the Masters Men 40-44 Division of the CrossFit Games (2014-2016). Often compared to four-time individual CrossFit Games champion Rich Froning for his consistent victories, Ramirez won every stage of the CrossFit Games in his division (Open, Masters Qualifier and the Games) from 2014-2015, and has never fallen below 12th in a Games event. In 2016, he was the first masters athlete chosen to compete in a live Open announcement, defeating 2 x Teenage Boys 16-17 champion Nicholas Paladino in a head-to-head match-up during Open Workout 16.3. A former multi-sport athlete, before entering the masters division, Ramirez competed as an individual in the 2012 and 2013 South East Regionals.
