I started doing Crossfit 10 years ago to become stronger and fitter. Have not stopped since. The things I've learned, the friends I've made and the support I continue to receive from younger peers and coaches, is a constant reminder that crossfit is for everyone; regardless of capabilities or age. Even though I never played sports nor was an athlete in my younger days, I truly believe where there is a will, there is a way. Having started at 59, I just want to improve and evolve and keep having fun in this journey, which to me has no expiration date. Competing is a great adrenaline and one of the ways I can measure progress from the continued training I do day after day. 2021 was my first entry to the Games after 7 Open competitions and 6 Masters Qualifiers, and am so looking forward to sharing the floor with the athletes in my category. Some whom I've had the opportunity to watch perform while working as a Volunteer both at the 2017 & 2018 Games, and who have inspired me to go on. You know who you are ): Since I became a judge and feel the need to continue expanding my growth in the so many movements and areas that encompass this sport. Life is about learning, growing, sharing and never giving up. I can’t wait for another year and opportunity to demonstrate myself the areas I’ve improved, and continue working to become a better athlete in the sport. Let's goooo!
