I was a four sport athlete in high school, and chose baseball over wrestling in college. I played a year of single A baseball and my athletic career was over. I stayed active in the weight room until I started having some serious joint issues. At age 30, I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis and for the first year of treatment I had a tough time getting around. I knew that I was going to have to find a way to stay in motion no matter how much it hurt. In 2008 I started a new treatment, and found Crossfit. I knew this was the program I'd been looking for, and teamed up with Dan Staton and opened Crossfit Spokane Valley. I have been competing in the Games since 2009, and have been loving training my weaknesses and fostering that competitive spirit again. I get just as much joy out of watching people change their lives through coaching our incredible members. I can't say enough about Crossfit. Thanks coach, for everything!
