I have probably tried every sport in the book growing up, but only really stuck with one through high school and college, and it happend to be Ice Hockey. Loved it and lived it since i was able to walk basically. Growing up in CT it was just something everyone was doing or watching. Dabbled in track in high school as well as racing sailboats for Yale during the summers. I live in the dirty south now, ATL, and theres not much of hockey...or sailing for that matter down here. Moved here winter of 07, and live happily in North Atlanta area with my husband Adam. We are both very competitive and enjoy a good challenge, and most importantly like to have fun with it. We joined Crossfit Lanier in October 2012 when it opened, and it seriously has been the best thing i have ever done physically since my college career. Now i am a proud member of CrossFit STAND! Love the family atmosphere, love the daily challenges, and love the sport in general. Many friends have been made and im sure many more. I have seen such huge improvement in my strengths already, and i can honestly say i am in probably better shape now then i even was in college. I was able to run a Half Marathon in Feb 2013 ,without any real extensive running training, and i know for sure that i would not have been able to do it without Crossfit. It always feels awesome to have accomplished something great like a hard ass workout that makes you wanna puke! :) Seriously love this sport!!
