In October 2011 a good friend and I were in DC and we ran into a guy I knew from a few years before ( Mike W ). He looked amazing and when asked what he was doing he said "CrossFit". I wasnt sure exactly what Crossfit was but I immediately decided that I was going to try this too. In November I began WOD'ing. Working night shifts causes not only sleep deprivation but a problem getting as many box WODs as I would like. Thankfully, CrossFit is a mindset and our new home gym is allowing me to find some degree of balance in my fitness life. I have lost a good deal of weight and am now working on adding muscle. I eat fairly clean and am always eager to discuss CrossFit with anyone who will listen. My goals are to continuously seek self improvement, do as many challenges and events as I can and to eventually use my L1 to teach Onramp classes. I have the very distinct honor of being the Medical Team Leader for the East Regionals and to work for Chriss & Andrea Smith. Last but not least, I love Crossfit people: WODing with Dani Sidell, Ben Smith and the most fun people of all, my family.
