Lindsey Valenzuela will now go head-to-head with Annie Thorisdottir at the live announcement of Workout 13.2.
We're excited to announce Lindsey Valenzuela will now be going head-to-head against two-time CrossFit Games champion Annie Thorisdottir on Wednesday for the live 13.2 announcement.
Thorisdottir is currently in second place worldwide, while Valenzuela is in fifth place worldwide.
Valenzuela, who hails from the Southern California Region, is a two-time CrossFit Games athlete, placing ninth in 2012 and 34th in 2011.
Thoridottir and Valenzuela have an exciting competition history. During the 2012 Open, Valenzuela put up 108 reps in Workout 12.2, the ascending snatch ladder. Then, Thorisdottir rose to the occasion, posting 109 reps. Then, Valenzuela beat Thorisdottir in two events at the Games: the Clean Ladder and Elizabeth. She also finished second, just behind Thorisdottir, in Isabel.
Most recently, Valenzuela logged an impressive 205 reps on Open Workout 13.1. And when no one thought she could be beat, Thorisdottir scored 209 reps on the same workout. Both, of course, slightly behind top score of 211 by Kristan Clever.
Tune in for the live announcement of Open Workout 13.2 on Wednesday, March 13 at 5 p.m., PT. Dave Castro and the crew will be at CrossFit South Brooklyn in Brooklyn, N.Y. And these two amazing athletes will throwdown on the workout just minutes after it's announced.
