The second-annual Occupational Games will take place Thursday, April 21, through Sunday, April 24. The top 10% of men and top 10% of women in their occupations will complete online to earn the title of Fittest on Earth among peers in their field.

How Athletes Qualified and How to Register

Athletes qualified for the Occupational Games by competing in the 2022 NOBULL CrossFit Games Open and identifying as having one or more of the following occupations:

  • Active-duty military

  • Military veterans

  • Law-enforcement officers

  • Firefighters

  • First responders (e.g., paramedics, emergency medical technicians)

  • Medical professions (e.g., physicians, nurses)

  • Educators (e.g., professors, school teachers, tutors, school administrators)

  • College students

After the conclusion of the Open, the top 10% of men and the top 10% of women from each occupation received an invitation to register for the 2022 Occupational Games.

Individuals who qualified for the Occupational Games may also compete in any additional Quarterfinal they have qualified for, including the Age-Group Quarterfinal, which will take place over the same time period.

Note: An athlete who has qualified for both the Age-Group Quarterfinal and Occupational Games must register twice — once for Age-Group Quarterfinal and once for the Occupational Games. The registration deadline for the Occupational Games is Friday, April 22, at 12 p.m. (noon) PT.

Athletes can complete their registration for the Occupational Games using button below.

Floor Plans

In order for athletes to prepare for the Occupational Games, the floor plans will be released Monday, April 18, at 12 p.m. (noon) PT. Athletes will want to be sure to share this information with their coach or affiliate owner, if they have one, to ensure all parties are familiar with the logistics of the competition.

Workouts and Submission Windows

Because the Occupational Games are occurring over the same weekend as Age-Group Quarterfinal, both competitions will share the same workouts and score submission windows.

All workout details will be published on Thursday, April 21, at 12 p.m. (noon) PT. During the competition, there will be three 24-hour score submission windows:

  • Submission Window 1: 12 p.m. (noon) PT Thursday, April 21, through 12 p.m. (noon) PT Friday, April 22.

  • Submission Window 2: 12 p.m. (noon) PT Friday, April 22, through 12 p.m. (noon) PT Saturday, April 23.

  • Submission Window 3: 12 p.m. (noon) PT, Saturday, April 23, through 12 p.m. (noon) PT Sunday, April 24.

Note: Athletes competing in both the Occupational Games and the Age-Group Quarterfinal only need to complete the workouts one time, but they must submit their score twice — once as an Occupational Games score submission and once as an Age-Group Quarterfinal score submission.

The competition will close at 12 p.m. (noon) PT, Sunday, April 24. After the close of competition, the leaderboard will remain unofficial until the conclusion of the review process. The CrossFit Games team will publicly announce when the results are final.

Scoring and Score Submissions

The scoring format will follow a similar format as the CrossFit Games Open, awarding points based on an athlete’s placement in a workout. At the end of the competition, the man and woman with the lowest point total in each occupation will be named Fittest on Earth in that occupation.

  • All athletes must use a registered judge (i.e., a judge who has completed the 2022 Judges Course).

  • Athletes who are also competing in the Age-Group Quarterfinal and looking to advance to Semifinals must submit a video of each workout.

  • Athletes who edit their video in any way risk disqualification.

  • Any score received after the score submission deadline will not be accepted.

Athletes with questions or concerns should email support@crossfitgames.com before the submission deadline.

For more details on scoring, penalties, and video reviews/tips, athletes can refer to the registration email they received after the 2022 NOBULL CrossFit Games Open.
