COMPLETING THE WORKOUTS
Semifinals athletes MUST:
- Complete the competition at an affiliate in good standing, with an established Head Judge AND
- Use a second, registered floor judge during each workout.
- Both judges MUST have the following credentials:
- At the time of score submission, athletes MUST submit the names of TWO judges:
- The Head Judge of the affiliate where the workout was performed
- The Floor Judge who judged the athlete directly
- All Semifinals score submissions MUST be accompanied by a publicly viewable YouTube video.
JUDGING REQUIREMENTS
The Head Judge is expected to confirm that the information found in the workout descriptions documents is followed for each competing athlete. This includes overseeing that the correct setup, workout flow, and movement standards are observed.
The Floor Judge will be directly judging the athlete’s performance during each workout.
If judges do not hold the required credentials, a 0 score may be given to the athlete. Ultimately, it is the responsibility of the athlete to ensure their judges hold the required credentials. Credentials can be verified in the CrossFit Trainer Directory.
SCORE SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS
- There is a single score submission window.
- All workout scores MUST be submitted by score submission deadline.
- All Semifinals score submissions MUST be accompanied by a publicly viewable YouTube video.
- No other host platform or format will be accepted.
- Scores will not be accepted without an accompanying YouTube URL.
- The Head Judge must be on-site and introduced in each athlete video during each workout of the competition.
Shortly after the competition closes, scores and videos will become public. Judges who have completed the 2025 Judges Course may then vote on athlete videos.
After the voting period has concluded, videos that have received a significant number of “needs review” votes may be reviewed by the CrossFit Games team. Based on the outcome of these reviews, penalties may be issued following the criteria outlined in the workout descriptions document.

TEAMS
COMPETITION TEAM ROSTER
All workouts are designed for a four-person team built with two men and two women. During the registration process for Semifinals, teams will need to declare their Competition Team Roster. Team managers can only select athletes from their Open team roster to move forward to the Competition Team Roster. A Competition Team Roster will consist of:
- A maximum of six (6) athletes:
- Three (3) men
- Three (3) women
- A minimum of four (4) athletes:
- Two (2) men
- Two (2) women
These athletes will represent the team for the Semifinal. Athletes in the Individual and Age-Group divisions are eligible to be members of the Competition Team Roster and may compete in all Semifinal competitions should they qualify and choose to do so.
Once the members of the team have been selected by the team manager, the Competition Team Roster is locked for the Semifinals.
The team must select only two men and two women from the Competition Team Roster to compete for the duration of Semifinals. It is not permitted to substitute in the remaining athletes for any reason. Should a member of the team become injured during the competition or need to leave the team for any reason, teams will not be allowed to use their remaining members to complete the competition.
If the team moves on to the Games, they can then choose a new Games competition roster to compete. As long as the athletes on the Games competition roster competed during the Team Semifinal, the three men and three women listed on the Games roster may be different from the Semifinal competition roster.
Each member of the Competition Team Roster needs to have completed every Open workout at the team’s affiliate location. If an athlete did not submit a score for one week or completed an Open workout at a different location, they are not eligible to be listed on the Competition Team Roster.
SCORING
- Points will be awarded for each team's placement in each workout (similar to Open scoring).
- At the end of the competition, the lowest point total wins.
- Scores will remain hidden on the leaderboard until the submission window closes.
SCORE SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS
There is a single score submission window and all workout scores MUST be submitted by Sunday, April 27 at 5 p.m. PT
