Individual athletes at the CrossFit Games completed the CrossFit Total on Day 1 of competition on the new field at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison, Wisconsin.
Australia's Royce Dunne took the event on the men's side with a total of 1,255 lb. lifted across the back squat (470 lb.), shoulder press (220 lb.) and deadlift (565 lb.). Reigning Fittest Woman on Earth Tia-Clair Toomey took the win on the women's side with a 330-lb. back squat, 130-lb. shoulder press and 415-lb. deadlift.—a total of 875 lb.
