Big Teams Earn Access to Gold Tickets

Any box with more than 50 validly registered competitors will have access to purchase two Gold tickets to the 2014 Reebok CrossFit Games.
 

If you haven’t heard, the prizes won’t just go to the behemoth boxes in 2014. Any box with more than 50 validly registered competitors will have access to purchase two Gold tickets to the 2014 Reebok CrossFit Games.

It still does pay to be big. For every additional 50 members who validly register, the affiliate will have access to another two Gold tickets to the Games. To be validly registered, an athlete must sign up before the close of the first Open workout on Monday, March 3, at 5 p.m. PT.

The Open has yet to begin, but there’s a competition brewing amongst the largest teams.

The North East is in the lead for bragging rights, with three of the world’s largest teams in Manhattan alone. But Southern California isn’t far behind with two teams rounding out the top five worldwide.

Affiliates in smaller regions like Latin America have shown up with big teams in 2014. Appropriately named BIGG CrossFit Recoleta of Buenos Aires, Argentina, is in ninth place worldwide with 125 registered athletes.
