Last week we announced the names of eight athletes who provided samples containing banned substances at the CrossFit Copa Sur Semifinal:
- Pedro Martins, the second-place finisher on the men’s side at Copa Sur, provided a sample that contained clomiphene.
- Claudia Espinosa, the third-place finisher on the women’s side at Copa Sur, provided a sample that contained metabolites of clomiphene, methenolone, and stanozolol.
- Mirela Bedore, a member of second-place team CrossFit Ribeirao Preta, provided a sample that contained metabolites of GW1516, LGD 4033, and stanozolol.
- Sabrina Dellagiustina, a member of first-place team Q21, provided a sample that contained metabolites of oxandrolone.
- Ines Alviso, a member of fourth-place team Kingbull CrossFit Paraguay, provided a sample at the Copa Sur Semifinal that contained metabolites of GW1516.
- Willian Dalpogeto, a member of second-place team CrossFit Ribeirao Preta, provided a sample that contained clomiphene, metabolites of nandrolone, and stanozolol.
- Lumma Roberta, a member of third-place team Berrini Team Treta, provided a sample that contained gestrinone and metabolites of GW1516.
- Phablo Lima, a member of third-place team Berrini Team Treta, provided a sample that contained ostarine, metabolites of oxandrolone, and GW1516.
Pedro Martins and Mirela Bedore are appealing the results. Ines Alviso is awaiting results from the B sample analysis.
Claudia Espinosa, Sabrina Dellagiustina, Willian Dalpogeto, Lumma Roberta, and Phablo Lima have received a four-year sanction starting on June 12, 2022.
