Want to compete on a team in 2017, but aren't sure whether you meet the Team Eligibility Requirements?

Want to compete on a team in 2017, but aren't sure whether you meet all of the Team Eligibility Requirements?

It’s time to submit an Early Declaration Form detailing your specific circumstances. While there is no guarantee your specific case will be approved by CrossFit Games organizers, sending in this form now may save you and your team the trouble of a mid-season disqualification.

You may want to submit a form if you:

  • are switching affiliates over the holidays.
  • are a member of a team, but coach at another gym location.
  • live a long distance from the team location.
  • have to travel frequently throughout the season due to work commitments or other circumstances.

Find out whether or not you fall in the eligibility gray area by reading the Team Eligibility Requirements in the Rulebook.

Your Early Declaration Form must be submitted before Dec. 15, 2016, for review. If you have any questions please email support@crossfitgames.com.

Documentation

All team athletes require a method for documenting their workouts and their compliance with the More Than Half Rule. Right now is the best time to start keeping a detailed training log (including date-stamped photos verifying the location of each workout) for each of your training sessions. Click here and choose the header "Team Documentation Questions" for instructions.

Please document where and when you trained. Training logs must include all training sessions, regardless of where the session was completed, in order to provide a clear picture of your training schedule over the course of the season. Precise, complete documentation is critical for athletes coaching or training at more than one location.

CrossFit Inc. may at any time during the CrossFit Games season require any athlete to produce documentation demonstrating they have indeed met the team requirements. If the athlete cannot provide training logs and photos for this purpose, the team and individual athlete may be subject to disqualification.
