In this episode of Games Central, Sean Woodland and Tommy Marquez highlight athlete matchups to keep an eye on at Semifinals and discuss the seeding process. Later, catch a snippet of the new 2020 CrossFit Games documentary created by the Buttery Bros.
Now that Quarterfinals are over, Woodland and Marquez remind us how many individuals and teams per continent will advance to the Semifinals, and detail the latest changes to the Semifinals schedule.
Woodland and Marquez take a look at how seeding for Semifinals was determined for individual athletes in North America and Europe. They also discuss which athletes will compete in virtual events due to travel restrictions, and how this affects the number of athletes who will compete in the Last Chance Qualifier.
The Mid-Atlantic CrossFit Challenge in North America is stacked with 2020 podium finishers Sam Kwant and Justin Medeiros, Individual Quarterfinal winner Travis Mayer, and Games perennials Ben Smith and Scott Panchik all competing.
At the Granite Games, teenage athletes Mallory O’Brien and Emma Cary will have their chance to prove themselves against Games veterans Alessandra Pichelli and Kristi Eramo O’Connell.
