Richard Stammer
Hey all, my name is Ricky Stammer. Ive been doing Crossfit for about 8 years. I was totally against it until my now wife introduced me to it! I quickly fell into a love/hate relationship with it but i still get it done. One of the main reasons i started was because i was tired of the mainstream gyms and just got burnt out, now i can't get enough. I also do it for my health and most importantly for my job and my family, now with two children and my age I want to be able to keep up with them and show them that working out and being healthy is great physically and mentally. As a fireman I have to be physically ready for anything to be thrown my way and since i started doing Crossfit it has helped tremendously with my job, minus the days that that one WOD just kills you and you need some recovery time! I plan on doing it for as long as my body will hold up, i may never be a games athlete but the fun and competitiveness of it keeps me going.
