Amanda is deeply passionate about helping others and cares about the overall wellbeing of our communities and the people within them. Organic health and nutrition along with fitness have been the foundation of her life for decades. She has been privileged to lead a very active lifestyle & that's how she wants it. Amanda and her husband Josh have two teenagers and being able to keep up with them and help them with athletics has been a blessing. From the playground to the baseball field and long nature hikes in between; she has been able to spend quality time with her children helping them improve their athletic skills and having some great conversations with them while doing it.   Amanda is certified in personal training, nutrition, and health coaching through the International Sports Sciences Association. She also has a Masters in I/O Psychology. She strives to be a wellness coach that inspires people every single day to live healthier lives. A health lifestyle has many parts that all need to work together (nutrition, exercise, sleep, relationships, behaviors…). Becoming healthier requires education and a strong commitment to change. There is no magic pill.   Eating clean is the most important part of overall fitness and health. What you eat plays a huge factor in how you look, how you feel, and how your body & brain function. Movement is another vital piece to overall fitness. Amanda has been doing CrossFit since 2012 but realize that not everyone loves CrossFit. She encourages people to find a workout routine that is feasible and that they like doing. Exercise should be fun and a celebration of what your body can do. #WednesdayWarriors is a free outdoor group that workout every Wednesday in the Altoona, Iowa area. Amanda started the group at the beginning of the pandemic in April 2020 to give the community free access to social fitness. And #HullHealth is a Facebook page that Amanda started around the same time to gift workout ideas, overall wellness tips, and healthy recipes. Check them out & enjoy!
