I think that I might be the only person who has a CrossFit origin story that begins with "Got drunk and signed up for CrossFit." It's true. Some friends of my wife and I, invited us to a fund raiser event for their daughters middle school cheerleading team. It also turns out that the next door neighbor of these friends was Jason Khalipa, and our friends had gotten him to donate an intro course and one month membership to NorCal CrossFit as an item to bid on in the silent auction. So after I had consumed copious amounts of wine, and made several random bids in the silent auction, I was the only bidder on on membership to NorCal. It has truly been life changing. Not just physically, but in terms of motivation in my family life, spiritual life, and professional life, and becoming a much more energetic and positive person. After moving to Colorado, joining the community at CrossFit Loop has been an amazing way to acclimate to living in a new state; and continue to improve my fitness and overall quality of life.
