David Walker-Lodestar
I was born in the early 70's in Greenville, SC raised in Gallitan, TN just north of Nashville. I had an average family mom and dad and my sister. I grew up playing sports from baseball, football, basketball and soccer; a few others as well. In high school I was a multi-sport kid, football, basketball and track. Graduating high school in the 90's (academically I did well---it is important to have knowledge as well as ability) I was an "invited" walked-on at Florida State University. I was blessed to be part of a 96' national championship team at Florida State University. During my time at FSU I had an opportunity to speak for Fellowship of Christian Athletes and True Love Waits. I graduated with a degree in Psychology and entered the Navy as an aviation candidate. I was privileged to serve this country for 9 years as a helicopter pilot. I continued to train with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society with Team in Training where I participated in several triathlon races (Olympic and Half-Iron-man distance races) as well as a marathon and century bike ride. Married my wonderful wife Denise and had 3 awesome kids and in that time started my path on the road of CrossFit. I have competed in one event (Battle on the Mountain) and completed my CFL1 cert. I plan to complete my CrossFit Kids in 2019 and CFL2 in late 2019. Opened CorssFit Lodestar in Lexington, SC in November 2018.
