His father, the legendary Joof Lamprecht, raised him in the safari business. Jofie shot his first Oryx at age 5, sat in his first leopard blind at 6 and took his first Cape buffalo when he was just 12 years old. A swimmer and rugby player - Jofie graduated Windhoek High School as class president in 1997. He went on to college in Cape Town where he continued to play rugby and graduated in Hotel Operations & Management while working at two of South Africa's top 5-star hotels. Jofie Lamprecht is a licensed P.H. in both plains-game and dangerous-game hunting in Namibia. Additionally he is a widely published wildlife photographer and writer. Jofie is a trained wine expert and a passionate "foodie" who adheres to blue-ribbon standards of food and service. His specialty is dream safaris custom-tailored to each client - be it your first or tenth visit to Africa. He is Proud to uphold the traditions of ethical and fair-chase hunting. Loving to walk Namibia's varied terrain, from desert to high mountains to sub-tropical environments. He works hard to get his hunters close to the game. Jofie leads safaris each year for elephant, rhino, leopard, buffalo, crocodile and hippo and all the plains-game species. The primary objectives are always a top trophy — a magnificent animal that is nearing the end of its natural life — and a memorable hunting experience. Jofie also enjoys sharing his country, its wildlife and its unique environment with visitors. He has a special place in his heart for the children who come on safari. Jofie also teaches photographic seminars in the U.S. and creates custom-tailored photographic safaris that focus on African wildlife, culture and / or landscapes. He can take photos for you or provide instruction to sharpen your camera skills. With patience and a knowledge of wildlife, Jofie gets his photo enthusiasts the images they want while helping them to become better photographers. His images and writings have appeared in most of the world's fine hunting magazines and are also used in corporate advertising. Jofie has worked with many well-known hunting personalities and authors, including Jim Shockey, Ivan Carter, Silvio Calabi and Mike Rogers to name a few. Jofie appears frequently on U.S. television and has been featured on Tracks Across Africa, Expedition Safari, Jim Shockey's Hunting Adventures and Safari Hunters Journal.
