I have always wanted to be an athlete, ever since I was a kid. Everything that encompassed being an athlete: the training, dedication, work ethic, the hours of sweat, blood and tears to then put that on display for others to see. It really makes it special, only a few can and are willing to do these things and sacrifice so much to become an athlete. Unfortunately, I did not have the opportunity to do this when I was growing up and all the way into adulthood due to a rough childhood. But I never gave up on trying, I searched for years trying to find and athletic outlet: lifting weights, playing basketball, flag football, etc...then at 30 years old I found CrossFit and was hooked, especially with the competitive side. I wanted to beat everyone and I wanted tp win every workout I didn't care if you were young, old, better, faster, etc....I just wanted to win and do the best I could. after about a month or so doing whiteboard workouts I started to think this is it, I found where I can compete and maybe try to do something with this. So I trained and I trained, just craving to be better. Fast-forward about 2.5 years and I got my shot to feel like a real athlete. I was on a team that went to the CF Games in 2016 and I was in the best shape of my life, it was literally one of the best experiences of my life. I did it, I was competing against the best in the world and It really meant something to me. I was able to go to the CF games again as Masters 35-39. I took a few years off due to personal reasons and now looking to go back to the CF games again as a 40-44 Masters. Dreams do come true! Never give up
