an MD specializing in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (KU Med), I'm finishing an additional year of specialized training in hand and microvascular surgery (Yale, in New Haven, CT)... was introduced to crossfit by my brother-in-law Rory Hanlin just a few short years ago and have enjoyed the competitive and athletic outlet ever since... the community that I feel I've become a part of is like no other I've seen or experienced and, as such, I'd like to consider myself a 'lifer' to the lifestyle... which has recently lead me to enjoy coaching/training others and spreading the knowledge... I'm grateful to have such wonderful support in my life from my friends, family, and coaches that allows me to keep managed, rounded and grounded...
