As I consider a motorcycle to be dangerous and a love affair too complicated, I chose this competition to mark my midlife (turning 47 just before the Open starts) Starting the second half of my life with nothing but good intentions and a lot of willingness to stretch my comfortzone. Sore muscles aside, I 'm sure I will enjoy every moment of this competition.
