In June 2008, just after turning 36, I decided to get in shape. I had NEVER worked out in my entire life and weighed 181 pounds at 5'6". I walked into an LA Fitness and signed a year contract for 2 personal training sessions a week. I then realized I actually had to work at this if I wanted it to be worth the money. I committed myself to working out 6 days a week, 3 days of strength training and 3 days of running. My lowest weight was 124 with a body fat percent of 18. I have run 4 half marathons and in numerous mud runs and 10k's. My best half marathon time was 2:22. I continued to strength train at a local boot camp. In the past 6 months or so, I was growing tired of my routine and gained some weight back. I had heard of Crossfit and when we moved to a new city, I knew that I really wanted to give it a shot.
