Calling all service members! Who is the fittest in your profession?
The Service Open celebrates those who selflessly serve their communities each day, showcasing how these individuals use fitness to succeed in their professions. It also provides an opportunity for CrossFit athletes to compete against peers in their professions for bragging rights.
New this year, service members will advance to a second stage of competition — the Service Cup: Built to Serve — for a chance to earn the title of fittest in their profession.

The Service Open will be available to athletes in these professions:
- Affiliate Owner (New)
- CrossFit Trainer (New)
- Medical Professional
- Educator
- Military Veteran
- Active Duty Military
- Law Enforcement
- Firefighter
- First Responder
- EMS Responder (New)
- College Student
How to Join the Service Open
As long as you are registered for the 2024 CrossFit Open, you can join the Service Open at any time by adding your profession’s hashtag to your CrossFit Games profile in your dashboard.

To access your competition dashboard, visit Games.CrossFit and click “login” at the top right corner. Once you are logged in, click on your profile image and you will see a drop-down menu that has a button for your competition dashboard. Then scroll down to the section “Your #Hashtag Leaderboards” and add your hashtag in the “Service occupation” box.

The Service Cup: Built to Serve
Everyone who registers for the 2024 CrossFit Open and uses one of the Service Open hashtags above will advance to the Service Cup, a virtual competition to determine the fittest in each profession.
NOTE: College students who meet the eligibility requirements below will be invited to participate in the online Pit Collegiate Qualifier. They will not participate in the Service Cup.
Pit Collegiate Qualifier Eligibility Requirements
Collegiate-aged athletes must sign up and complete all three Open workouts to be invited to the Pit Collegiate Qualifier. The qualifier will be programmed by the Pit and take place from June 9 to July 21.
The top 60 men and women ages 18-22 will qualify for the Pit Collegiate Throwdown.

Qualifying athletes will receive an invitation with instructions on how to register.
The Service Cup T-Shirt
Athletes can purchase a T-shirt specialized for their profession after registering for the Service Cup!
