Experience the Games through a virtual reality experience on the NOMADS platform.

This weekend, fans who can’t make it to Madison for the 2019 Reebok CrossFit Games have an opportunity to dive into the on-site experience. BMAD will debut its user-friendly virtual reality platform, NOMADS, with floor-level access to the CrossFit Games.

Montreal-based company, BMAD, debuts NOMADS to embrace all types of users. The virtual reality platform offers fully immersive experiences in tourism, music, and sports, with everyone having the opportunity to travel virtually anywhere in the world, attend exclusive concerts, and gain behind-the-scenes access to their favorite sporting events — all from the comfort of their own homes.

Each element of NOMADS was developed to provide the user with an all-encompassing experience that mirrors live participation. With a focus on building a top-quality platform that can be easily used by everybody, NOMADS is redefining the ultimate virtual reality experience.

“We created NOMADS so that people can get to live experiences that they never thought were possible,” says Josee Lalumiere, Chief Executive Officer of BMAD. “Our goal is to create a high-quality virtual reality platform that offers comfort to not only tech savvy users, but also to many who feel that new technologies, like virtual reality, are overwhelming. Life is full of so much beauty and entertainment, and we want everyone to feel free to take the leap with us and immerse themselves in all that we have to offer.”

For the first time, the CrossFit Games, which are taking place right now in Madison, Wisconsin, will be livestreamed in their entirety through a virtual reality experience on the NOMADS platform. Although NOMADS will be officially launching this September, from Aug. 1 through Aug. 4, fans can get unique access to the CrossFit Games live experience. Cameras will move alongside athletes on the field. Digital spectators will have a chance to jump in and get an up-close look at all the action.

“Since our inception we've brought fans as close to the action as possible," said Justin Bergh, General Manager of the CrossFit Games. "Our event has been sold out for seven consecutive years, but fans can still watch the main events as if they were in the best seats … or they can choose to be on the floor with their favorite athletes. The camera perspectives we're allowing during competition will be unprecedented."
