I started CrossFit in 2007 and have been to regionals 3 times. I am now pretty much the Kenny Powers of CrossFit. I own Coastal CrossFit Queensland with my wife Marie - our affiliate has been open for five years.

How I Eat

I eat quality foods but don't measure the amount

I eat good food to the point of satisfaction when I'm hungry. I am not so strict with my diet that I won't eat the curly fries at Hog's Breath and don't mind have a beer or three on the weekend.

How I Train

I workout mostly at a CrossFit Affiliate

I write my own programming

I record my workouts

I mostly train once a day and I try to hit the motocross track twice a week. I enjoy the daily competition within my own gym and am more focused on the athletes that I train these days.

My Athletic Background

I have no athletic background besides CrossFit

I have no formal athletic background. I grew up riding motocross bikes for fun and never really did spectacularly at anything.

My Experience With CrossFit

I began CrossFit by trying it alone (without a coach)

I have completed the CrossFit Level 1 certificate course

I have attended one or more specialty courses

I have had a life changing experience due to CrossFit

I train other people

I have enjoyed being part of CrossFit since the early days in Australia. I have learned very much through the process of running my own affiliate for 5 years and will continue to learn and try to be a better coach.

My Work/Rest Schedule

I do multiple workouts in a day 2x a week

I typically rest 4 or more days per month

I follow the daily workout on with a bit of extra work for fun.

How long have you been doing CrossFit?

4+ years

I started CrossFit in 2007.
