Co-owner and trainer of CrossFit Northern Adelaide. Was introduced to CrossFit in late 2009 and was lucky enough to compete in the 2011 Australian Regionals in the teams competition 2012,2013 as a individual competitor. I truly love my job knowing that everyday I wake up I can deliver what I am truly passionate about and is such a massive part of my life. For me CrossFit is not just a training method it is a community, and a lifestyle that has helped mold my life and the people I share it with.
How I Eat
I eat quality foods but don't measure the amount
I Eat as clean as i possibly can with no sugar no bread pasta or verylimited process food. I aim to have balance out the macronutrients in every meal with a higher value of protien and fat than carb. I am finding that this is working very well for me with my recovery and my training at the moment.
How I Train
I workout mostly at a CrossFit Affiliate
I have a coach who determines my programming
I record my workouts
I have been training under the coaching of Rob Downton at RAW Strength and Conditioning the past 2 years and it has definatly been the best preperation i have had in my competition experience. Massive thanks to www.rawstrengthandconditioning.com for being fitter and stronger everyday.
My Athletic Background
I have no athletic background besides CrossFit
I did come from an endurance background with competing in triathlons.
My Experience With CrossFit
I began CrossFit by trying it alone (without a coach)
I have completed the CrossFit Level 1 certificate course
I train other people
I remember my very 1st CrossFit workout 3 rounds for time 400m run 21 burpees 500m row and it killed me from that day on i have only trained CrossFit and this has been almost 3 yrs now.
My Work/Rest Schedule
I do multiple workouts in a day 3+ times a week
I typically rest 4 or more days per month
Training this year has been alot different compared to previous years. The past 2 years i have been working hard training with RAW strength and Conditioning www.rawstrengthandconditioning.com to get me fitter and stronger and ready for the 2014 season.
