How I Eat
I eat quality foods but don't measure the amount
How I Train
I workout mostly at a CrossFit Affiliate
I write my own programming
I record my workouts
Owner / Head Coach at CrossFit Phoenixville. We do our own programming and live mostly in the strength, short metcon, and medium metcon domains (under 20 minutes).
My Athletic Background
I played youth or high school level sports
Growing up I played every sport I could find. I was also an expert tree climber! From age 12 to 16 I was a competitive gymnast. In high school I played on my school's varsity soccer and lacrosse teams. Towards the end of college I picked up long distance running, and I completed 3 marathons and dozens of shorter races before discovering CrossFit in 2009.
My Experience With CrossFit
I began CrossFit with a coach (e.g. at an affiliate)
I have completed the CrossFit Level 1 certificate course
I have attended one or more specialty courses
I train other people
I started CrossFit in May 2009 at CrossFit KOP and began coaching for them that October. In August 2011 John Warnek and I opened Iron Cross Athletics, Home of CrossFit Phoenixville. We currently train about 80 athletes there, and we couldn't be more proud of their progress and successes!
My Work/Rest Schedule
I usually only do 1 workout a day
I work out once a day, three to five days per week. I work out at a much lower intensity since becoming pregnant, and I need more days off to rest and recover.
How long have you been doing CrossFit?
Coming up on 4 years in May 2013.
