Owner / Head Coach at CrossFit Phoenixville. We do our own programming and live mostly in the strength, short metcon, and medium metcon domains (under 20 minutes).
My Athletic Background
I played youth or high school level sports
Growing up I played every sport I could find. From age 12 to 16 I was a competitive gymnast. In high school I played on my school's varsity soccer and lacrosse teams. After college I picked up long distance running, and I completed 3 marathons and dozens of shorter races before discovering CrossFit in 2009.
My Experience With CrossFit
I began CrossFit with a coach (e.g. at an affiliate)
I have completed the CrossFit Level 1 certificate course
I have attended one or more specialty courses
I train other people
I started CrossFit in May 2009 at CrossFit KOP, and started coaching in October 2009. In August 2011 John and I opened Iron Cross Athletics, Home of CrossFit Phoenixville. We currently train about 100 athletes there, and we couldn't be more proud of our community!
My Work/Rest Schedule
I usually only do 1 workout a day
I work out once a day, three to four days per week.
How long have you been doing CrossFit?
Coming up on 5 years in May 2014.
