After having two kids within two years - April 2007 and April 2008, I was having a hard time losing my baby weight with just the bootcamp I was attending. My husband, a former Navy Search and Rescue Swimmer, suggested this thing called "CrossFit" to me. My first workout was "Cindy" and this came easy to me since I had been doing a military bootcamp for 8 years. But we did some barbell work afterwards and as soon as I picked up a bar, I was hooked. I became pretty serious about my CrossFit training within the years of 2009-2011, and I actually competed with a team from Bayou City CrossFit in the 2011 South Central Regionals where we won 1st Place, securing ourselves a spot at the Reebok CrossFit Games. This was one of the most exciting times of my life, with the exception of having my kids. I did all of this at the ripe age of 36. I was truly a "Band Nerd" in High School, and did a little swimming and softball in Elementary, Junior High and High School. I dabbled in Co-Ed Softball during and after college and really found a special "Athletic" part of me when I joined CrossFit. I've enjoyed my 5+ Years in CrossFit so much, I own my own Affiliate, AllSport CrossFit. I'm in the best shape of my life and I LOVE being able to help people daily to help them achieve their physical goals. I look forward to participating in the Reebok CrossFit Open!!!!

My Athletic Background
I have no athletic background besides CrossFit
I regularly play recreational sports
I was in Marching Band in High School! But I played Percussion in the "Pit" so I really didn't March! :) I played Softball in Elementary School and then played Co-Ed Recreational Softball at Texas A&M University. I enjoy the occasional Golf Scramble about 3 times per year.
My Experience With CrossFit
I began CrossFit by trying it alone (without a coach)

My life has never been the same since starting CrossFit in April 2009. So much, that I opened my own Affiliate on 1 January 2012, AllSport CrossFit with a couple partners.
My Work/Rest Schedule
I usually only do 1 workout a day
I do multiple workouts in a day 2x a week
I typically rest 4 or more days per month
Active rest days are usually a 3 mile run. And I still like to run longer than 6 miles several times per month.
