How I Eat
I eat quality foods but don't measure the amount
I eat 1-3 full cheat meals per week
We definitely prepare our meals ahead of time to prevent unhealthy eating habits, but I'll be honest, I do allow myself to indulge on some of the "poor quality" foods once in a while.
How I Train
I workout mostly at a CrossFit Affiliate

I have to credit my husband, Ben, for most of my programming. I definitely couldn't do it on my own! I would have to say that in the box I see him as my coach always seeking my best efforts, while making sure my workouts keep me well rounded as a crossfitter. By recording my workouts I've noticed that it's helped me stay on a consistent schedule as well as keeping the intensity in my WODs as I strive to improve each week.
My Athletic Background
I played youth or high school level sports
I am grateful that my parents allowed me to be involved in many sports growing up. Through these sports I learned what commitment and dedication truly meant. I was involved in almost everything...gymnastics, softball, basketball, barrel racing, track, and volleyball.
My Experience With CrossFit
I began CrossFit with a coach (e.g. at an affiliate)

Over the past few years CrossFit has become a huge part of my life. Being an owner of a box, a coach, and a competitor can feel more like a juggling act if anything - and that's not even considering being a mom of 2 gorgeous girls and a wife to an awesome man! As a family we are able to work with amazing people from our community and are rewarded with the satisfaction of changing their lives, as they in turn have changed ours - no doubt! I entered into the Open in 2012 with little to no expectations of doing amazing things, basically using it as a learning experience for the mental battle and pressure that comes with competition. At the close of the Open Competition I ended up taking the 26th spot in the Open and advanced to the 2012 Regional Competition in San Antonio. This was a HUGE accomplishment and showed me how much CrossFit not only meant to me, but to our members as well. Being the only one from our box to make it to the Regional level of competition, and to have the support of about 40+ members and family there was an amazing feeling - fueling me to go harder and be stronger! Over the past couple of years our athletes have been taking their performance to the next level, pushing me to stay ahead of the game, and looking forward to compete along side some amazing people. Their efforts are inspiring and I'm looking forward to the competition! :)
My Work/Rest Schedule
I usually only do 1 workout a day
I do multiple workouts in a day 2x a week
I strictly schedule my rest days
A couple of back-to-back mIni-WODs have been coming up in my programming lately, which has been awesome for getting my fitness back to where it should be. I do try to get in some strength WODs before/after I hit up a Met. Con. Rest days are definitely valuable to me, I love going into a WOD fresh!
How long have you been doing CrossFit?
Like I said earlier, I've been involved in CrossFit for about 7 years now. All it took was a free Women's Boot Camp at CrossFit Central to get me hooked! My husband has been by my side throughout the years encouraging me and supporting me. As a coach and workout partner he is what motivates me to become stronger, faster, better; however, I do need to shout out to my daughters...Thank you for your patience and inspiration - I love you both!
