2011: 13th Place Mid-Atlantic Regionals 2012: 5th Place Mid-Atlantic Regionals 2013: WIthdrew I live my life with the sole goal of being as awesome as Jared Butler. He is awesome. I wear my "I <3 Jared" shirt every day. I have an oversized one that I wear as a dress when I sleep at night.

How I Eat

I weigh and measure my food

I Zone my meals, and I'd say I'm 80% paleo (I avoid grains but kill some dairy). I typically supplement a minimum of 2 kilos of gummy bears daily.

How I Train

I workout mostly at a CrossFit Affiliate

I write my own programming

I record my workouts

I own CrossFit Clayton and do my WODs there. I'll either hit them up during off hours or occasionally with class. I usually train solo. I set my cabbage patch kid dolls up to watch me. They're cute.

My Athletic Background

I played youth or high school level sports

I played college sports

I played football, wrestling and baseball in high school. When I got to college, I wrestled one year in the NCWA at 165 lbs and placed 2nd nationally. It was the women's division. I got a sex change prior to the season in order to be competitive. I bleed to and undergo surgery to be the best. After that year my sport in college became beer pong.

My Experience With CrossFit

I began CrossFit by trying it alone (without a coach)

I have completed the CrossFit Level 1 certificate course

I train other people

I heard about CF while training at a MMA gym in Grove City, OH. I dragged my feet but finally tried my first WOD about a year afterwards and was hooked. That was in May 2008. I trained by myself in a globo gym and competed against my best friend who lives in NY via email. Once I moved to North Carolina I decided to get my CFL1 Cert and about a year after that I opened my own affiliate.

My Work/Rest Schedule

I do multiple workouts in a day 2x a week

I strictly schedule my rest days

Running a large box and having a family has demanded most of my free time and unfortunately I do not get to train as often as I did a few years ago when I was competing. However, if things work out I'll be hitting it hard leading up to Regionals.
