How I Eat
I eat quality foods but don't measure the amount
Usually I just eat a lot of fruit, good meat, some vegetables and a pretty decent dose of chocolate :)
How I Train
I workout mostly at a CrossFit Affiliate
I write my own programming
I record my workouts
I have a very planned approach to training for crossfit competition - where the idea is that the sum is greater than the parts... each day is dedicated to a particular aspect of fitness and I utilize a lot of workout repetition to encourage progression. Over my time in crossfit, I have programmed over 95% of my training.
My Athletic Background
I played college sports
I played rugby for 13 years, culminating in playing provincial representative rugby and attending several Canada Sevens trials.
My Experience With CrossFit
I began CrossFit by trying it alone (without a coach)
I have completed the CrossFit Level 1 certificate course
I train other people
I started with .com in a regular gym for 3 months then switched to an affiliate. I co-owned an affiliate for 2.5 years, went unaffiliated with a good group of buddies for a while, and now have opened up my own affiliate - CROSSFIT VIC CITY!!!
My Work/Rest Schedule
I usually only do 1 workout a day
I strictly schedule my rest days
I typically rest 4 or more days per month
I do 1 workout session per day, but that session may consist of up to 3 components if it's a metcon day. This year represents a big change in that I have dropped my volume from an average of 8 sessions/wk (range 5-12) to 5 sessions in most weeks.
How long have you been doing CrossFit?
6 years exactly by the middle of the Open
