CrossFit

Congratulations to all who completed the CrossFit Team Series.

Team Reebok East has won the 2014 CrossFit Team Series and will soon receive a check for $30,000.

Ben Smith, Scott Panchik, Stacie Tovar and Emily Bridgers united to form an unstoppable team. These athletes pushed the edge of human performance on four of the 12 events (Events 4, 7, 11, 12).

Even with CrossFit Games champions chasing after them, Team Reebok East was able to win these events with significant margins over the next best teams.

Team Reebok East's highs were high, and its lows were never very low. On top of the four event wins, Team Reebok East piled on two second-place event finishes, three thirds, one fourth, one seventh, and one ninth (4-3-2-1, 9-2-1-7, 3-3-1-1).

Through its consistency, Team Reebok East won two of the three competitions and took second on the other. With 4 points, Team Reebok East claimed the win over Rogue Fitness Red (6 points) and Rogue Fitness Black (8 points).

Three Reebok teams—East, North, West—two Rogue teams, two Progenex teams, and three CrossFit affiliate teams claimed the top 10 spots on the Rx Division Leaderboard. Each of these teams have earned a chunk of the $150,000 prize purse.

Many of the teams are in the same position now as they were before Competition 3 began, but a few traded positions on the Leaderboard.

Team Reebok West climbed three positions from 10th to seventh, and PRGNX DarkHorse climbed from fifth to fourth. These shifts earned those teams another $3,000 each.

CrossFit Boynton Beach dropped from ninth to 20th overall, opening up a spot for CrossFit CDR Redlands.

A big congratulations to the three affiliate teams that earned places in the top 10.

CrossFit 417 of Ozark, Missouri, earned fifth place and $14,000 despite not having a single CrossFit Games individual competitor on its roster. Over the last three competitions, the team has shown incredible strength on the 3-rep max front squats and hung on through all of the tests of GPP. Watch out for newcomers Brooke Wells and Jordan Chiles next season, as well as seasoned regional veterans Jared Stevens and Mallory Lawson.

CrossFit Fort Vancouver of Vancouver, Washington, stood atop the CrossFit Games podium in 2010, and has continued to be a force in the North West Region over the last four seasons. The affiliate made a super team by joining forces with CrossFit X-Factor athlete and fourth-place finisher at the 2014 North West Regional, Carleen Lessard.

CrossFit CDR Redlands of Redlands, California, has repeatedly qualified for the CrossFit Games out of the Southern California Region. It brought four of the eight athletes from its Games team this year, and managed to earn 10th place overall in the nick of time.

The incredible performances in the CrossFit Team Series and the CrossFit Games are the result of the work affiliates and trainers do each day in the box.

Thank you to all who made the first Team Series great.
