Athletes will complete this sprint chipper that includes overhead squats, box jumps, fat bar thrusters, power cleans, toes-to-bars and burpee muscle-ups.

Dave Castro just announced the Saturday night Individual Event of the 2012 Reebok CrossFit Games.

At 5:20 p.m., PT in the Stadium, Individual athletes gathered after finishing the Clean Ladder. Only the top 36 athletes will compete in this workout – a chipper that includes overhead squats, box jump overs, fat bar thrusters, power cleans, toes-to-bars and burpee muscle-ups.

With only 10 repetitions per station, the competitors will take this chipper at a sprint. Transition will be key and athletes will have to keep it together through the overhead squats. Time doesn’t stop until the athlete is standing tall in their lane.

This chipper also brings out another new movement: Burpee muscle-ups; and a new twist to an old movement: Fat bar thrusters.

At the end of the night, 12 competitors will be cut and only the top 24 athletes overall will move on to compete on the final day of the CrossFit Games.
